Slave to wonderfulness

It's 7 pm
Just woke up and have yet to wash up
Waiting for roomie to buy my dinner back

Weather been terrible lately
It has been raining almost everyday now
There is a thunderstorm going on and Lili's afraid
This is how I am blogging
With her hid in the comfort of my arms

Noticed the cycle?
This is how boring life can get
Practically a stay home person now
Apart from classes and work

Out of 6 days work, I've shown up 4
From a emptying bank account
To a whopping $500.00++
God bless my work

Anyways for work yesterday
I had to head down to embassy

I look so skinny in this pic
Me like Me like
Why can't it just happened to me in real life?!

Back to fat self again. GRHHH

This people just don't know when to take a pic
Friend from work
I practically drool over petite girls
Love em to pieces

P.s; I need a hair cut or should I just wait till I'm back and get hair extensions?!

Day out

Lili virgin subway & bus ride
She seem really afraid, trembling non stop
Brought her to Steven's house
His mum invited us over for dinner
She made dumplings and oyster mee sua

We alighted at Finch & Steven picked us up
This is Lili 3rd car right
Still as nervous but better than before

Fireplace in Steven's house
Its not just some deco, its a real working fire place

Due to the lack of walks, Lili is turning aggressive
She barks at anyone in sight and refused to have anyone else touch her

We had dinner and went out for a long walk
Headed back and had a couple of games of the PlayStation
Steven drove us back

Dropped by Shoppers to get body moisturizers
S is out to get milk now, we are having pan cakes for supper tonight!

Strike of twelve

I am still loving my Diamond

Things to do
  • Working on a regularly basis
  • Joint account with B
  • Haircut
  • Choose my courses for the winter session

I really got to stop procrastinating!

Queen V

I'm applying for Permanent Resident
Scary eh..
Next time when someone asks I will be a Canadian
and a Singaporean

The process should take up to a year or so

Ain't worried about the procedures or unable to meet the requirements
Or it will not work out
Not even worried about forfeiting the exorbitant agent fees

Ironically, I'm worried about B
Convincing is the hard part
Or at least keep my fingers crossed he will not back out in the midst of it

If nothing goes wrong, I will be able to start applying once I'm back from my summer holidays

I really want to make it happen
It meant so much to me
It seems like the first time in my life
I'm actually achieving something

I actually feel.... Useful
Please don't take take this opportunity away from me
Please

Its Victoria Day today
A national holiday in Canada
The Monday preceding May 24, observed as a national holiday to commemorate the Bday of Queen Victoria

Have been hearing gun shots sound since late evening
Peeked out and realize people are actually setting off fire works

The little sparkles are actually fire works
Bad camera = Bad photos
Time for a new cam

It is exactly like the ones on National Day in SG
But of course in smaller scale and no coordination
Nothing like a firework display or what

But screw it
They are setting it off right downstairs
Across the street
Everywhere to be exact

I can't agree more when people says woman tend to buy what they don't need
I bought it more than half a year back
But its my first time wearing it

Satin jumper from F21 spree
It is a tad too loose
But for $20 what more do you expect?!

I need a breather
From all the changes in my life
Positive or Negative
Its not coming down too well on me

What does woman love the most?

Until Victor reminded me yesterday
I am FULLY unaware that I'm returning to SG in less then 2 months time
It just seem like weeks back when I confirmed my ticket home although it has already been months
I have yet to earn & save for my HK trip =(

Totally unrelated but one fine day I told myself I had to do it
And so
I headed out to get my new baby

HTC diamond
Thanks to S for making a 2 hour trip down just to sign a term plan for me

Had dinner after we are done with the phone
First meal of the day at 8.30pm
At our usual Korean Bbq place

Tested the camera
Not missing out my darling Lili

And lastly I love my Diamond!
Phone gets unlocks once the stylus is removed
Screw iphone which doesn't even provides a stylus
Place the phone face down and any incoming calls will be silenced
Wireless
I've got the voice & data plan so I have 3 months complimentary unlimited web browsing and 500mb each month after
It small and light, and it provides the cell phone keypad so I don't have to go through the long rows of keypad or drive myself crazy taking 4X the time trying to write out a message.
Once again Iphone, SCREW YOU!

Well, apparently its camera doesn't come with flush and fingerprints seem to get on easy
I guess there is no such thing as perfection
But whatever so, I am happy and please with my near perfection Diamond

Have to head out to work now

Cya folks

Random things

Life here is not as exciting as it is in SG
Neither does it have as much ups and downs
But it pleases me
This laid back life
The satisfaction and independence I gained is PRICELESS
I've learned and experienced much more

Very random things about Canada & me

The daily routine

Imagining leaving an open bag of chips and it stays crispy for 3 days
This my dear is how dry Canada's weather is
Try a day without moisturizer and watched how your skin cracked
I had survived years in SG without needing it

My current fav
Sephora's body butter, passion fruit and guava
not so absorbing but it smells so good for hours
LILI couldn't stop licking me everytime I applied it
and it leaves my skin smooth and moisturizes

The chapped lips is something I hate most
and most chap sticks leaves a weird plastic taste after
This one doesn't and its leaves a mentholated tingling sensation
Only thing I hate about this is i had to dig the balm up with my fingers
Currently on my 5th tub

To prevent my ache scars from blackening I had to apply sunblock every time I'm out
especially when Canada is a very sunny place
Clarins is not cheap, but no doubt the best I've used

Cards

Left
1st- Canada Trust, my atm card
2nd- Shoppers Otimum card, sorta like Watson where I get my shampoo n stuff
3rd- VIP card, 10% off total bill, a Japaneses buffet restaurant we used to go weekly
Right
1st- Guess membership card
2nd- Aeroplan, points accumulation for air tixs & hotels
3rd- Sephora

Essentials against the cold

Winter here are much longer
its cold for almost 9 months and warm for only 3
the 3 months of summer and that's all
Even at spring 09, it snowed
Imagine snow on April
or the sudden drop to -30 degrees
or the sudden raise to 10 degrees
within the same week
Not impossible but rarely

Bad Bad Bad weather
So I need loads and loads of winter wear
Thick or Thin
Checking the weather forecast before I head out have already been a habit
I must say I'm pretty experienced in dressing appropriately & warmly now

The deadly addiction
Before I knew of "this", I was buying $11 a pack of 25 sticks
after I knew of "this" I was buying imported cigarettes that is NOT illegal
Cheap China Cigarettes 中南海 for $38 a carton
Mild Seven for $65 a carton

Marlboro MENTHOL LIGHTS for $65 a carton
How much isn't in SG? $110+ a carton?
SCREW SG EXTORTING OVERLY PRICED CIGARETTES
The only catch is that there might not always be stock
BUT STILL $65 a carton!!!

Going around

Thumbs up to their REQUEST STOPS for buses
that is only available to woman
Though transportation are not as accessible as those back home
BUT
Their buses & subways operate till way later
till nearly 2am & buses here in downtown operates 24hr
BUT
Buses and Subways are really expensive here
Its $2.75 fixed be it only a stop or 10

GLBT Town

Any idea what the rainbow flag means
Apparently it represents the LGBT
L=Lesbian
G=Gays
B=Bisexual
T=Transgender
10 mins walk from my place
Church Street
Spot cute gay couples fondling & crossing roads hand in hand
AWWW...

A gay parade is held every summer
The one in NY was indeed an eye-opener
I hoped I can make it to the one here

Till I can remember, that's all for now
=)
